     Course Objectives:

  • Discuss the impact of race on the relationship between feNO and clinical characteristics of asthma and allergic disorders.
  • Identify the gaps in monitoring conditions with chronic baseline tryptase elevations, such as mastocytosis and heredity alpha tryptasemia (HaT).
  • Recognize the reason for diagnosis of failed oral food challenges in food allergic patients.
  • Discuss the need for a rapid point of care tryptase measurement to aid in the diagnosis of anaphylaxis.
  • Discuss the role of mastocytosis in patients who have had anaphylaxis to allergen immunotherapy.

  • Describe the knowledge gap in primary care physicians on the updated asthma guidelines
